York County Maine Housing Overview

York County is the southern most county in Maine and home to towns including Saco, Biddeford, Kennebunk and Kittery. Like most of the state housing values have fallen over the past few years with current values currently close to where they were in 2003/2004. Wide variety of property is available in this county from multi million dollar waterfront estates to rural farmhouses. In 2009 a total of 2156 residential transactions transpired at an average price of 240K down about 11% from 2008 figures. Inventories currently remain down and prices did stabilize throughout 2009.
