Real Estate in Brunswick Maine
Anchored by Bowdoin college and the soon to be closed Brunswick Naval Air station this community of 20,000 is a great place to call home. With lots of culture, great restaurants to choose from and only 25 minutes from Portland, Brunswick is a great all around community. In 2009 the median home sold for 208K and condo for 184K making it a moderately affordable real estate market.
Real Estate in Bath Maine
Home to Bath Iron Works and with a population of 10,000 Bath is a quintessential Maine coastal community nestled on the Kennebec River. A mix of retirees and blue collar workers the homes in this town are classic greek revivals and stately manors from a time past. An excellent down town to stroll around and a strong sense of community add to the great ambiance. The real estate is very affordable with the median home selling for 130K in 2009.
Real Estate in Harpswell Maine
The first large coastal peninsula in the lower mid coast region that juts out from Brunswick is Harpswell and it is chock full of waterfront property . A classic mix of local working waterfront and summer home retreats this towns population doubles in the summer to about 10,000, but still remains very rural in feel. 56 homes sold at a median price of 300K in 2008.

The largest peninsula as far as land mass in the lower mid coastal region of Maine, Phippsburg offers rural living within the many micro communities such as Small Point, West Point, and Popham Beach. Home to Popham Beach State park and wonderful land preserves such as the basin this area is well worth a look. In 2009 16 homes sold at median price of 250K
Real Estate in Georgetown and Arrowsic Maine
Crossing the bridge from Bath you enter Woolwich where you will then venture out onto the peninsula of Arrowsic/Georgetown. The top half is Arrowsic and the bottom is the more well known Georgetown. Similar to Phippsburg in its rural feel, but simply smaller overall and perhaps having a more of an artsy vibe. In 2008 15 properties sold at an median price of 265K. Woolwich offers great rural living whilst being quite convenient to areae recreation and civilization. There are currently 50 residential offerings in the community and in 2009 30 homes sold.
Real Estate in Yarmouth Maine
A quintessential coastal Maine community with a long history. Great school districts and waterfront property to be had as well an some private subdivision type developments.. Stroll the downtown and feel like you are really living in Maine and still be less than 15 minutes to Portland. In 2009 88 homes sold at an median price of 283K.
Real Estate in Freeport Maine
LL Bean aside, Freeport has much to offer a would be real estate buyer. A thriving rural coastal Maine community that in 2009 saw 86 homes sold at an median transaction price of 232K. Ample waterfront property and many historic older homes can be found as well as simple capes within walking distance to downtown.

A bit crowed in the peak summer season, but with nooks and crannies to be found that will offer privacy and peace of mind. This coastal Maine community is well know for its popular downtown region in the summer time with great store and whale watching journey's to be had.
