Maine Housing Report - 3rd Quarter 2010

In the 3rd Quarter of 2010 the greater Portland and lower mid coastal Maine housing markets experienced weakening demand and continued price stabilization. 490 homes and condos sold at a median sales price of $250,000 representing a 37% decrease in volume and a 9% increase in median prices. It is important to note however that overall prices remain stable and this 9% increase is most likely the result of less first time home buyer participation in the marketplace.
