2nd Quarter 2010 Housing Report

In the 2nd Quarter of 2010 the greater Portland and lower mid coastal Maine residential real estate markets posted very strong results. Overall transaction volume was up 30% with 759 properties selling compared with 532 in 2009. Median prices held steady with a 1% increase seen year over year. With the expiration of the housing tax credit and uncertainty surrounding the overall economy watch for significantly slower housing markets in the 2nd half of 2010.
