Happy Holidays and December Market Update

Seasons Greetings from Maine.  Unseasonably warmer late Fall/early Winter weather coupled with continued low interest rates has helped keep the greater Portland and southern Maine residential housing markets on track whilst the mid coastal regions continue to remain sluggish.  Transaction volume was up in both York and Cumberland counties  whilst median prices remained flat year over year. Unfortunately mid coastal communites within Sagadahoc and Lincoln County are still seeing week volume and depressed prices, but with so few homes selling in this region it is difficult to discern a true trend one way or the other.

Have a wonderful holiday season and hope to help out in 2012!
