April 2010 Fantastic March home salesThe real estate markets of Southen Maine posted excellent residential housing results for the month of March. Helped along by the strong greater Portland residential marketplace the year over year transaction volume for the entire region was up by more than 40%. . Pricing held steady throughout the region on a quarterly analysis whilst on a month to month basis median pricing was down about 14% in Sagadahoc and up by 10% in York. The median DOM (Days on Market) average dropped considerably in all 4 counties helping to further stabilize the entire marketplace. Inventories are on the rise, but this is to be expected for this time of year. Watch for continued strong results in April, May and June. . View the entire 1st quarter housing report here.
