Stabilization and Improving outlook

After a quiet holiday season the southern and mid coastal Maine residential markets have picked up steam.  Year over year transaction volume continues to be way up in all 4 counties followed and despite erratic pricing year over year prices have stabilized with the city of Portland actually posting a 6% gain in median pricing month over month. First time home buyers continue to dominate, but activity has picked up at higher price points as well within the greater Portland region.  With low inventories and many active buyers in the marketplace look for a very strong spring season ahead.
