I have been a full time real estate broker in Maine for the past 8 years and spend the majority of my time building our business, but when I do take a break I enjoy spending it with family/friends, pursuing outdoor activities and getting out on the water! I am an avid sailor/boater plus enjoy tennis, running and most recently kite surfing!

I currently live in Portland, help co-direct a local kids summer camp in the smmer and stay as active as I can in the community. One of my more recent endeavors is lobstering, please just ask and come aboard for a haul anytime! Note: Any resident of Maine is actually entitled to a 5 trap recreational license!

3 years ago I took a 6 month hiatus from real estate to sail from Maine to the Caribbean and back aboard our dear yet tragically lost to a storm, S/V Audax.

Alas I will always be considered "From Away," but I continue to do my best to blend in with the "native" population.

I am originally from Chatham, New Jersey. In my earlier years I played a ton of tennis (still do!!) and hockey. I guess I was somewhat of an entrepreneur as well, creating a landscaping service and researching/investing publicly traded companies.

I attended the University of Virginia and graduated with a degree in Economics in 2002. Perhaps my fondest memory of my college years was when I spent a semester aboard a 125 foot tall ship...the SSV Corwith Cramer through a fantastic program known as SEA education.

I have had the luxury of spending every summer on the coast of Maine, specifically in Small Point and West Point located on the peninsula of Phippsburg.

Organizations/companies/jobs I have worked at and been affiliated with in the past include Eagle Point Enterprises, an affordable housing real estate development company, carpentry as a self employed handyman, hospitality managment at Rock Gardens Inn, Migis Lodge and the Cape Arundel Inn, and web design work.

Shawn was born and raised in Lewiston, Maine. After graduating High School, Shawn accepted a full-boat scholarship to Thomas College Business School in Waterville, Maine where he graduated with a 3.8 GPA and received his Bachelor's in Accounting Informational Systems. After college Shawn moved to Portland, and has now lived in the Portland area for 19 years with his wife Semoy and two daughters Ana and Sophia.

Shawn started off his work life as a CPA for at Berry Dunn, McNeil and Parker,  a consulting and  public accounting firm.  After a successful career in the public accounting world he was hired by one of his clients as CFO of a mid-size telecommunications company in New Hampshire. Shawn has owned and sold several real estate related businesses, owned up to 75 apartment units at any one time, fixed up and flipped both single family and multi-unit investment properties, completed several condo conversion projects, and finally co-developed a successful high-end new construction row homes in Portland’s Ocean Gateway area.

For the last 11 years, Shawn has been using these experiences in business and real estate to help buyers and sellers get the most monies out of their real estate transactions.  As you can see, Shawn not only can talk about real estate, instead he actually lives it.
