Greetings and Hello.
My name is John Herrigel and I am a local real estate agent affiliated with Green Tree Realty. I currently live in Bath and service the greater Portland and lower Mid Coast Regions of the state, working primarily with buyers....many from out of state looking to relocate as well as numerous first time home buyers already living here wanting to acquire their first home. I created this website to provide relevant real estate information for all levels and types of buyers, sellers, investors and first timers.

My Life before Real Estate
I was born in Chatham, New Jersey where I lived until leaving for college. In my earlier years I was an avid tennis and hockey player as well as somewhat of an entrepreneur building my own landscaping service and researching publicly traded companies. I attended the University of Virginia and graduated witha degree in Economics in 2002. Perhaps my fondest memory of my college years was when I spend a semester aboard a 125 foot tall the SSV Corwith Cramer through a program known as SEA education.
I have had the luxury of being able to spend every summer of my life on the coast of Maine, specifically in Small Point and West Point located on the peninsula Phippsburg. Sailing, boating, surfing, and golfing are among a few activities I have had the luxury of enjoying. One of the more recent endeavors being lobstering, obtaining my recreational license a few years prior. Alas I shall alas always be considered an "outsider" but I do continue to do my best to blend in with true "natives."
I moved permenantly to Maine after graduating college. Livign at first in Portland and now in Bath I split my time between the two areas. Organizations I have been affiliated with in the past include Eagle Point Enterprises, an affordable housing real estate development company, carpentry as a self employed handyman, hospitality managment at Rock Gardens Inn, Migis Lodge and the Cape Arundel Inn, and web design work
I am currently active with the following:
